In the proposed design bus rapid transit (brt) system has a dedicated lane in the middle of the road which prevent unauthorized drop-off and pickup along the footpath throughout the road or congesting at the nodes of branch road, blocking other vehicles movement, by minimizing crossing. A center wide bus stoppage footpath between two opposite direction bus lanes does not allow illegal encroachments of bus stops, gives highest priority to brt. Franchising all different companies into authority controlled specific route operation system will prevent competition among different companies, overtaking and reckless driving. Bus stoppage footpath can be made universally accessible by raising its height at the level of bus deck, and a gentle slope will allow free movement for all. For a route like this to work perfectly buses need to be customized with door on both sides with higher seating capacity. Most of all an efficient automated traffic control system is necessary to achieve a smooth vehicular movement.
