Sylhet Station Club was established on December 25, 1886. Located in the tea-growing area of Sylhet, the British tea planters used this club as a transit hub for business meetings and entertainment, hence the name Sylhet Station Club.
Over the years, the club's development occurred gradually to meet the members' demands. As a result, the current appearance of the building has become unsynchronized.
The client approached K2AH+Architects to propose a design for the ground floor grand hall room that would be economically feasible and provide a contemporary upgrade with minimal intervention.
After analyzing the client's requirements, two options were proposed. The first option features a contemporary look with a double-height wall, symbolically representing the beautiful mountains and lights of Sylhet. The second option considers the historical journey of the club, expressing itsclassiclegacy.
